TAT (which means coast in Hindi), a top-notch restaurant, will open on August 5th led by Sumit Govind Sharma from Monarch Liberty Hospitality. You’ll find TAT in Vikhroli, Godrej Two Mumbai where it serves up a fantastic range of modern Indian Coastal Cuisine. These dishes take inspiration from time-honored recipes across the Indian peninsula, with a few Sri Lankan specialties thrown in for good measure. TAT aims to shine a spotlight on Indian Coastal Cuisine by sticking to its rich heritage while giving diners an incredible food experience that keeps up with today’s culinary scene.
Visionary Leadership
Sumit Govind Sharma recognized as an Economic Times Emerging Leader in the Hospitality Industry, stands out as a well-known restaurant owner and the creative mind behind EVE-Powai & EVE-Worli, Que Sera Sera-Andheri, and now TAT-Vikhroli. Culinary Journey
“Our aim with TAT is to create an engaging dining experience that takes our guests on a trip to India’s coastal regions,” said Sumit Govind Sharma, TAT’s founder. “We try to capture the different tastes of India’s coastal areas, from Maharashtra to West Bengal. This includes Kerala’s rich fragrant curries and Goa’s tart hot flavors. Each dish aims to tell a story bringing back memories and a feeling of home while also offering a food journey that shows India’s rich history and bold tastes.”

At TAT, Chef Sudhir Pai has created a menu that blends a cozy atmosphere with top-notch service. His 30-plus years of work with big names like The Oberois, Leela, and Unilever shine through. You can nibble on small bites such as crunchy Assorted Fried Poppadums and Fish Koliwada. For bigger appetites, platters with Veg Tukitaki and mixed seafood or meat collections hit the spot. Don’t miss the Sigadi Ghee Roast starring tasty Mangalore prawns. This dish packs a spicy punch, oozes juice, and tastes amazing, with flavors that balance to excite your palate.

Savor the bold tastes of the Gobhi Puvvu (Cauliflower Chilli Fry), an Andhra-style dish that packs heat, tang, and loads of flavor. Reshma Karmarkar, the CEO and Chief Architect of Design Matters, dreamed up TAT’s look to honor coastal India’s heritage.

Jaideep Gupta, a hospitality consultant who has won awards and has experience of over 30 years, has worked with Sumit to create TAT and has guided the creation of TAT.
